The Manhattan Area Fiber Arts Guild, formerly the Manhattan Area Weavers and Spinners, has evolved to encompass various forms of fiber art. This not only includes weaving and spinning but has expanded to areas related to dyeing, knitting, beading, felting, quilting and more.
Our Mission
Our mission is to to foster a vibrant community of fiber artists in the Manhattan area by:
Sharing knowledge and skills in weaving, spinning, and all fiber arts.
Providing educational opportunities through workshops, lectures, and demonstrations.
Promoting appreciation for hand-crafted fiber arts within the community."
Meeting Schedule
We meet the first Tuesday of every month from September to May at Pottorf Hall in Cico Park.
6:30 to 7:00 - Social time and show and tell
7:00 to 8:00 - General business meeting
8:00 to 8:30 - Program
